La rappresentazione artistica è un’impresa complessa che passa attraverso una serie infinita di filtri. Dal momento che si decide di fare una rappresentazione di un oggetto, si comincia a scegliere gli aspetti da tenere o scartare, cambiando e falsando profondamente la sua natura. Per quanto verosimile, una rappresentazione è sempre una negazione di qualcosa. Usando due media “realistici” ma opposti tra loro, queste opere vogliono chiamare l’attenzione a questo processo. Porre attenzione su ciò che scegliamo di scartare di un oggetto nella sua rappresentazione, dice molto sulle ragioni del nostro sguardo.		Artistic representation is a complex process which comprises an inifinite series of filters. From the moment in which we decide to represent an object, we begin a process of eliminationand inclusion of various aspects of that object; a process which changes and falsifies its nature. Regardless of how “realistic” a representation is, it is always a negation of something else. In this series, two “realistic” but very dissimiliar media are used to call the viewers attention to this process. Examining that which we choose to exclude in the representation of an object, tells us much about the motivations of our vision.
