Nel
fiume sono i resti di un vecchio mulino, una volta l’attività
economica più importante di un piccolo paese agricolo dove la vita
di tutti tendeva al pane: simbolo per antonomasia del cibo e del benessere.
Ormai dimenticata nella corsa verso l’industrializzazione, il mulino
rimane una traccia degli sforzi umani del passato. Farlo parlare di questo
passato, piantando un campo di frumento, richiama la storia del luogo, ma
anche la semplice bellezza dei campi che cambiano aspetto con le stagioni.
Isolato in mezzo al fiume, il mulino sposa con il grano ed aquista un valore
formale e simbolico.

In the middle of a river are the foundationsof an ancient mill; once the
most important structure of a small agrarian community, where everyone’s
lives tended towards the mill in one way or another. Forgotten in the rush
towards industrialization, the mill remains a trace of past lives and efforts
and necessities. By planting a field of wheat on the foundations, the mill
is given a voice to speakof this past...but also of the simple beauty of
the changing colors of the fieldswith the passing of the seasons. Isolated
in the middle of the river the mill combines with the wheat and acquires
both formal and symbolic strength.
